JFAMNET Inc. ("JFAMNET," "we," "our," or "us") operates JFAMNET.com and related services (the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have. Information you provide
- Account details: name, date of birth, email, phone number, password.
- Profile content: photos, bio, interests, values, relationship goals, roles you're seeking (e.g., mentor, chosen family).
- Identity verification data: government ID images and selfie for age and identity verification, processed by our verification partners.
- Communications: messages you send through the Platform, feedback, and support requests.
- Payment information: billing details processed by our payment providers (we do not store full card numbers).
Information collected automatically
- Device and log data: IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, crash reports.
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, matches, session times.
- Approximate location derived from your IP address, or precise location if you grant permission.
- Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 8).
2. How We Use Information
- Create and manage your account and verify your identity and age.
- Power AI matching and recommendations for compatible connections.
- Provide messaging, communities, and other Platform features.
- Keep the Platform safe: detect fraud, abuse, harassment, and policy violations.
- Personalize content and improve our services.
- Communicate with you about updates, security, and offers you can opt out of.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. AI and Automated Decision-Making
JFAMNET uses AI to suggest matches, moderate content, and detect harmful behavior. AI outputs are decision-support signals — humans review sensitive actions such as account suspensions and appeals. You can request human review of consequential decisions by contacting support.
4. How We Share Information
- With other members: your profile, shared photos, and messages you send.
- Service providers: hosting, analytics, identity verification, payments, moderation, and customer support providers bound by contract.
- Safety and legal: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect people from harm, or investigate abuse.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
- With your consent: for any other purpose disclosed at the point of collection.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Your Choices and Rights
- Access, update, or delete your profile in Settings.
- Request a copy of your data or account deletion at privacy@jfamnet.com.
- Opt out of marketing emails via the unsubscribe link.
- Control device permissions (location, notifications, contacts) in your OS.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or other laws — including the right to object, restrict, or port your data.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described here, to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your profile within 30 days, except where retention is required (for example, safety records related to abuse investigations).
7. Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, monitoring, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, so we also rely on you to use a strong password and protect your account.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure performance, and improve safety. You can control cookies through your browser or our in-app preferences.
9. Children
JFAMNET is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn a minor has created an account, we will remove it promptly.
10. International Transfers
We may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses for cross-border transfers.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Policy.
